Reviews
Good kosher meat spot in the UWS.
Enjoyed the deli sandwich and creative apps. Especially the pastrami wrapped schnitzel!
Meats in general were delicious!
There were 3 of us, my wife, my daughter and me. We ordered an appetizer - chicken soup, meat soup, hummus and falafel: the chicken soup was reasonable and good, meat soup - full of spices, mainly cumin, so much so that you could not distinguish the taste of the soup, the hummus was reasonable, but the pitas were heated in the microwave instead of on the grill, so they were sticky and almost inedible Main dish: My wife ordered a schiff salad - it was good. My daughter and I ordered filet mignon with mushrooms. We both didn't eat the filet because it was full of fat, when we complained to the waiter, the answer was sorry that's all there is. The chips were wet and not crispy, probably fried twice and absorbed a lot of oil. At the end of the meal [if you can call it that] the shift manager came to find out why we didn't eat. After a detailed explanation he looked at us in amazement saying, sorry we don't have filet mignon we mistakenly gave you an old menu!!!! it's joke. In light of this, he gave us a discount of 40 dollars and charged us 202 dollars - 200 dollars more than the value of the meal.
My dining experience at this restaurant was absolutely exceptional. The food was exquisite, the service impeccable, and the ambiance delightful. Highly recommended!
They have a picture of the rebbe. Which I found to be pretty dope.
They have a huge steak called the moshiach steak. Think it’s off menu.
Waiters are very polite and helpful.
It’s a gem of a place. Not many like these around.
Excellent service. The short rib starter was undercooked and chewy. The falafel and pita very good. The complimentary coleslaw and pickles very good. My schnitzel and fries was hot, fresh and tasty, with the platter only spoilt by the cold runner beans (which al 3 of us had). My dining companions fared less well. The chicken kebab was very dry but the Israeli salad good. The schnitzel and pastrami sandwich ok but the baked sweet potato underdone.
We had a good experience at this nice rusty place. We tried the Kasbah tower from the sushi menu and the rib eye steak, both were good. Desert wasn’t a hit, but wasn’t bad either. I think they don’t serve alcoholic beverages, at least I didn’t notice any on the menu and I forgot to ask about that.
The waiter and overall service was good and decently priced (the restroom could be cleaner, though).
Chabad music plays quietly and two screen are showing old farbrangen clips with the Lubavitche rebbe and other Chabad stuff. A paper with d’var torah was also prepared on every table.
Excellent Kosher restaurant on the Upper West Side New York. Extensive choice of dishes, tasty food, friendly atmosphere.

I was pretty disappointed with this place. While some of the food was ok other parts of the meal where really not great. With all these great restaurants even kosher available within the city I probably would now not come back here.
I will say I don't go to kosher restaurants too often but parents where in town and they only eat kosher so we hit up different spots. I was super excited for this place with it's positive comments.
So what was good: The hummos, pita, turkey shnitzal and fries.
So what was bad: short rib, sweet potato, green beans (cold), chicken shish.
The service here was alright. When asking what the best sellers where our waiter just read off the entire menu, not really helping with the decision making.
The restaurant it's self is a bit boring inside with not much character I'm sorry to say. It needs a bit of life added back in. Plus the TV's showing whatever was on didn't enhance my expirience, personally I think it took away from it. But each to there own on this one.
All in all some of the food was ok but there are to many better options that I just can't give this place more stars.
Great burgers, nice portion sizes, and not too crowded
